Conference "Transitional Justice as a Mechanism of Progress, Reconciliation and a Condition for EU Accession", 04.6.2021.
The Deputy Prime Minister of Montenegro dr Dritan Abazović participated in the conference „Transitional Justice as a Mechanism of Progress, Reconciliation and a Condition for EU Accession“, organized by the Center for Civic Education (CCE) with the support of the US Embassy.The Vice President emphasized the importance of active and continuous work of the civil sector in the field of dealing with the past. "So far we have had transitional injustice. We are society that likes to close its eyes to problems, we do not deal with key topics, and the issue of war crimes is important for our future and should be treated seriously. Today's participation of the Government may mean that some other course will be imposed in the next period, but that also depends to a large extent on prosecutorial and judicial institutions".
