The Deputy Prime Minister of Montenegro, Dr. Dritan Abazović, was awarded the Key of the City of Tirana by the Mayor of the Capital of Albania, Erion Veliaj. Deputy Prime Minister Abazović emphasized that he had the great honor of being the first man from Montenegro to receive this award. Abazovic pointed out that the symbolic Key of the City of Tirana should open the hearts of the citizens of the two countries, all with the goal of bringing them closer and breaking mutual prejudices. As part of his official visit to the Republic of Albania, Montenegrin Deputy Prime Minister Dritan Abazovic hosted one of the greatest writers of today, the award-winning Albanian writer and 15-time Nobel Prize nominee Ismail Kadare, at his home in Durres. Vice President Abazović also met with Minister Peleši and congratulated him on his appointment. He pointed out that the overall interstate relations are very good, and that they are based on the principles of friendship and cooperation, strengthened by the NATO partnership, common goals in regional policy and the European perspective.
