The Deputy Prime Minister of Montenegro, Dr. Dritan Abazović, paid a three-day working visit to Brussels, where he had meetings with the highest officials of NATO and the EU. Vice President Abazović met with NATO Deputy Secretary General Mircea Geoana, as well as with other senior Alliance officials and representatives of member states. Abazovic addressed MEPs in the European Parliament's Foreign Affairs Committee (AFET), as well as separate meetings with European Parliament Foreign Affairs Committee Chairman David McAllister, European Parliament Rapporteur for Montenegro Tonino Picula, and Co-Chair of the Parliamentary Committee Of the European Union and Montenegro for Stabilization and Association (POSP) in the European Parliament, Vladimir Bilčik. On the same day, the Deputy Prime Minister met with the European Commissioner for Enlargement and Neighborhood Policy, Oliver Varchelli, the EU High Representative Joseph Borrell, the European Commissioner for Environment, Oceans and Fisheries, and the EU Special Representative for the Western Balkans and Belgrade-Pristina Dialogue.
