The Deputy Prime Minister of Montenegro, Dr. Dritan Abazović, and the Minister of Capital Investments, Mladen Bojanić, visited the construction site on the priority section of the Bar-Boljare highway from Smokovac to Mateševo. During the visit, Abazovic and Bojanic talked with representatives of CRBC, Monteput, subcontractors and representatives of Supervision. Construction work on the highway should be completed by November 30th. Certain segments, such as electro-mechanical works and the tetra-system, will take some time. At the beginning of July, the government published information about the hedging arrangement with European and American banks, which reduced the interest rate for the loan with Exim Bank. The Ministry of Finance previously explained that in this way savings of EUR 8 million were achieved annually. They added that the hedging arrangement prevented the growth of debt based on currency exposure against the dollar, considering that the loan, taken in 2014, was contracted in dollars, at an interest rate of two percent. Montenegro now pays it in euros, at an average interest rate of 0.88 per cent.
