Meeting with US Congresswoman Elissa Slotkin
Montenegrin Deputy Prime Minister Dr Dritan Abazovic met with US Congresswoman Elisa Slotkin in Tirana. They discussed the political situation in the Western Balkans as well as modalities for overcoming the accumulated problems. Special emphasis was placed on combating the influence of corrupt elites who pose a broader security threat. Elissa Slotkin is a congresswoman from Michingen, a member of the Committee on Military Policy and the Committee on National Security, who was previously engaged in the CIA. In his Twitter post, Abazović wrote: "The region needs new energy, more justice and braver decisions of political elites." Great meeting with Congresswoman Elissa Slotkin in Tirana. We look forward to greater US engagement in the Balkans!”
