Montenegrin police have detained several people, including Interior Ministry (MUP) and police officers, on suspicion of abuse of office and negligent work during a tender for electronic surveillance of the state border, a deal in which embezzlement of a European Union donation worth more than million. Deputy Prime Minister Dr. Dritan Abazović praised the action in which MUP officers were arrested. "We do not want any influence on the free action of the prosecution or the police. This action is proof that we can all work".
